I’m going to eat some holiday treats dammit!

Well it’s been 5 days and I’ve lost 5 pounds already!  Damn I love South Beach!  Yes, I know - it’s too fast.  Yes, I know - it’s mostly waterweigth at this point - but I already feel better.  I have been doing Phase Two which allows fruits and some whole grain carbs and in my opinion is much heathier/easier to stick to than Phase One.  I’ve decided to stay on Phase Two until one month before my wedding and then go into serious boot camp South Beach mode for the last four weeks.  That seems doable.

 That being said, I’m feeling very positive and healthy and I’m going to have a few holiday treats today!  I will eat my (small amounts of ) treats with pride.  So far I think I can handle having just a little without going off the deep end.  I seem to be more in control of my life in general these days, which helps with the self-discipline.  It’s Christmas, after all!  :)

    5 lbs is great! It is fast but that is just the way Southbeach is sometimes. I have done for a very long time and I always lose like that when I first get back on it. I did phase 1 mon-sat and ate whatever I wanted on Sundays and lost 50 lbs that way. I just can’t do that anymore though. Need variety. Phase 2 is much more do-able but the weightloss slows some. You are doing great so just keep it up!

    5 lbs whether it be waterweight or actual is still 5 pounds gone. Congratulations! Glad you like your plan. Keep up the good work!
